I am a vet, graduated at the top of my class in 2013 and have worked in small animal practice ever since. I completed a post graduate diploma, with distinction, in Clinical Animal Behaviour at the University of Edinburgh. I am an accredited Veterinary Behaviourist and Clinical Animal Behaviourist registered with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) and a full member with the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).
I am also working towards RCVS Advance Practitioner Status in Clinical Animal Behaviour.
Consequently I have knowledge of both veterinary medicine and animal behaviour which enables a greater understanding of your pet's overall mental and physical health.
I am here to help explain why our cats and dogs do things that we wish they didn't!
My interest in behaviour came from experiencing first hand how difficult it is to be an owner of a "difficult" (I prefer misunderstood!) dog.
Meet Molly our almost 13 year old JRT. She is complex and I sought advice from a behaviourist when we struggled to understand her seemingly, "out of the blue" behaviour change when our children were born.
Having been where you are, I can empathise with what you are going through and be realistic about what is achievable.
There are no quick fixes, but with dedication, patience, and the right type of guidance I can help you understand why the behaviour is there and how we can teach our beloved dogs and cats that there is an alternative.
By teaching our dogs and cats how to cope with their emotions and motivations we can help them live happier and enriched lives.
This video talks you through the behaviour assessment process and what to expect.
More details on pricing and what is included in the behaviour assessment process can be found on the Services page along with a link to book a discovery call.
I look forward to talking with you soon!

Thank you so much for talking to us about our cats needs!
Cherry suddenly started weeing in the house, and is strange places. It took some time but with your help we were able to work out what adjustments we could make to how Cherry and Stormy were living to ensure that their needs were being met and help them manage their stress and anxiety.
Thanks so so much
Claire
Thank you for your professional session and much needed support with our new puppy, Toffee, thank you. We are first time puppy owners so it was all very helpful.
Most helpful: was was how/when to give puppy treats as reward for good behaviour! We will continue to put this in to practice on a daily basis.
Format of Zoom call: it all worked well, we were able to see and hear your presentation on an the ipad.
It was very comprehensive. If we have burning questions, we will come back to you and ask.
